What big ideas are you working on? How can I help?
Now's a good time.
Before becoming an interaction designer, I cofounded and ran a nonprofit food production and distribution center. My team would often come to my office wanting to chat about a challenge or new opportunity. They’d peek in and ask, “Hey, is now a good time?” hoping to catch a quick bit of feedback. The Analogue Jukebox is a project that combines my passion for music with a desire to practice three-dimensional interactive prototyping. As a musician and interaction designer, I sought to create a physical experience that could merge the digital music creation process with the tangible, visceral joy of creating music in a way that anybody could participate in, regardless of their musical expertise. The process was a historical exploration of partially-automated music devices from player pianos through the jukebox to modern digital composition.
